Gustav Mahler’s Sixth Symphony – often called the “Tragic” – is one of the most dramatic works in the symphonic repertoire. Here the music is hurled between the joy of life and catastrophe, with march-like force and a weight heavy with fate. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Franz Welser-Möst.
