About the concert
På svenskaTrumpet, flugelhorn and timeless melodies.
With his characteristically warm and lyrical sound, Till Brönner moves effortlessly between trumpet and flugelhorn, elegance and improvisational freedom. Now, Germany’s leading jazz trumpeter returns to Konserthuset Stockholm – this time with his own band.
Often mentioned in the same breath as Chet Baker, Brönner cites Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis and Baker among his key influences. Since his debut with Generations of Jazz in 1993, he has released a string of award-winning albums – mostly recorded in Los Angeles – and collaborated with a wide range of international stars. In 2016, as part of International Jazz Day, he was invited by President Barack Obama to perform at the White House.
Following his acclaimed debut in Jan Lundgren’s Kind of Jazz series, Brönner now returns to the stage of Konserthuset for a concert rich in personal expression, virtuosity – and world-class jazz.
